Apparently the governor’s “Bridgegate” issues will not go away. The Wall Street Journal reports that documents relating to meetings that were canceled between Gov. Chris Christie and Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop have been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in New Jersey. The Journal reports that the meetings were allegedly cancelled after Mayor Fulop declined to endorse the governor’s re-election. U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman issued the subpoenas to Christie’s re-election campaign, as the investigation into the George Washington Bridge lane closures continues. A Christie spokesman and lawyer for his re-election campaign declined to comment in response to the report, according to the Wall Street Journal.
