Barbara Buono has closed the gap some, but Gov. Chris Christie still maintains a big lead. The latest poll by Rutgers-Eagleton shows that state voters support Christie 55 to 35 percent. Most polled on both sides said they are unlikely to change their mind closer to election day, suggesting there won’t be any wild swings. Although likely voters disapprove how Christie has done on such key issues as the state’s economy and taxes, they think he better represents the views of most New Jerseyans on these and other issues versus Buono.
