CHRISTIE: I WON’T RAISE GAS TAX WITHOUT OTHER TAX CUTS

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie took time from his presidential campaign to address the gas tax issue in his home state. Christie says he will not authorize an increase in the state’s gasoline tax unless democrats in Trenton agree to other tax cuts. Christie made those comments during a business breakfast in Whippany on Monday. Funds from the gasoline tax finance the state’s Transportation Trust Fund which finances essential road and highway projects.
