New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is defending his decision to stay in Florida on vacation during the Christmas Weekend blizzard that dumped more than 30 inches of snow in some parts of New Jersey. Christie met with reporters before the New Year’s break and said that the state gets an “A” for effort in its blizzard response, and a “B” for results. Christie says he promised his family five days in Florida, and he delivered it. Plus, he says he would have been doing the same thing in New Jersey as he did in Florida, constantly being on the telephone monitoring the snow removal efforts. Christie also blasted local towns for not doing a great job with removing snow from their side streets.
