A live racing schedule at two racetracks in the state have been vetoed. Gov. Chris Christie vetoed the schedule for 141 racing days which was approved by the New Jersey Racing Commission. A recommendation had been made recently to end all live racing at the Meadowlands and to move those operations to Monmouth Park. Also, the state may look to sell both assets to a private interest.
