Governor Christie had a busy day in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. The governor was in town seeking a huge chunk of federal dollars to help the state recover from the damage of Hurricane Sandy. Christie met with President Obama and asked for $83 billion in additional disaster aid for New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Christie also met with House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio and Senator Mary Landrieu of Louisianna, who chairs the appropriations subcommittee on homeland security. The governor then appeared on a taping of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” for Thursday night.
