CHRISTIE: “EXTREME MEASURES” MAY BE NEEDED ON PENSIONS

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie held a town hall meeting on Wednesday, the day after he delivered his state budget address.  Christie again called for cooperation with democrats in Trenton on a fix to the pension debt incurred by the state.  Christie warned that “extreme measures” could be coming for the state’s finances if a real effort is not made to solve the pension issues.  Christie promises a full pension payment in this year’s budget but makes no promises past that.
