Same sex marriage is the law of the land in New Jersey and Governor Chris Christie will not get in the way. Christie on Monday dropped his appeal of a ruling made by a court that legalized same-sex marriages in New Jersey. Christie says the court made strong statements that settled the larger case. Christie had wanted the same sex marriage law to go before voters. Now that the appeal is out of the way, same sex marriages face no current legal challenges in the Garden State.
