New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has started discussions with democrats in Trenton over the proposed ‘tool kit’ concept that will help local towns meet the new two percent spending cap. Christie met with Senate President Steve Sweeney and other democrats on Monday as discussions began on what still needs to be done. Local municipalities throughout the state are struggling to meet a new two percent spending cap limit that will be in place for 2011. The Associated Press reports a second meeting will be held on Wednesday.
