So far no resolution has been offered in the very public standoff between New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and the democrats who control the legislature in Trenton. The Associated Press reports that both sides met into the evening hours on Friday with no resolution to an issue involving a tax cap. Democrats want the cap to be set at 2.9 percent by lawmakers, while Christie wants a special session to meet and approve his plan of 2.5 percent, which would be approved by voters. Democrats said Friday night that they would not be returning to the statehouse on Saturday.
