On Wednesday Gov. Chris Christie said he would be in favor of expanding casinos to North Jersey, as long as the increased tax revenues would help Atlantic City. Christie said the N.J. Legislature may be placing a referendum on the ballot this November asking the voters to decide on casino expansion to North Jersey. Earlier in the day, state Sen. Ray Lesniak, D-Union, said he would push for $1 billion in North Jersey casino revenue to be redirected to Atlantic City over a 10 year period. Lesniak made his comments while attending the East Coast Gaming Congress in Atlantic City.
