CHRISTIE CHOOSES ATTORNEY GENERAL CHIESA AS NEXT U.S. SENATOR

New Jersey has an interim U.S. Senator. Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa is selected by Gov. Chris Christie to be next U.S. senator for NJ replacing Frank Lautenberg. Christie made the announcement with Chiesa during a press conference on Thursday. Lautenberg passed away this week and Christie set up a primary and special election process to take place this year for a permanent replacement. Lautenberg’s term runs through the end of 2014.
