Gov. Chris Christie says he believes the Senate must give a hearing to his Supreme Court nominee. Anne Patterson was nominated for the seat that John Wallace was holding. Christie believes that Wallace’s views are the not the right ones needed for the Supreme Court and its the governor’s role to nominate justices. Senate President Steve Sweeney says he would not even opening a consent hearing to Patterson. Christie says its the Senates job to give and up or down vote on the issue.
