CHRISTIE AVOIDS OVERRIDE, CUTS DEAL WITH LEGISLATURE

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie avoided the first legislative override of his career.  Christie worked with lawmakers to avoid an override of his veto of a bill that would preserve open space and farmland.  In return, Christie received a promise from lawmakers that the Blue Acres program would be funded, which purchases flood-prone properties.
