CHRISTIE: ARC TUNNEL PROJECT IS DEAD UNLESS FEDERAL GOV'T FIND MORE MONEY

The ARC tunnel project has been killed by Gov. Chris Christie once again. Christie said based on his review, the state can’t afford to fund this project. Estimates say the work will cost multiple billions of dollars over budget and the state would be on the hook for every dollar of the overrun. The tunnel would provide more access to New York and create jobs, but is not financially viable, according to Christie. The deadline for a decision is this Friday.
