CHEERLEADING A SPORT? CHEERLEADING GROUP SAYS…NO WAY

Cheerleading should not be recognized as an official sport in the state of New Jersey. So says the new Jersey Cheerleading and Dance Coaches Association which is trying to kill a bill proposed by a democratic lawmaker to make cheerleading a recognized sport in New Jersey. The association is concerned about restrictions on practice time, cheerleading eligibility and other issues.
