CHARGES PENDING IN DEADLY PIT BULL ATTACK

Charges are pending in a vicious pit bull attack that sent an Absecon  man to the hospital and resulted in the death of his pet golden retriever. At about 1 p.m. Saturday, two pit bulls attacked the retriever and bit his owner, 73 year-old Louis Nell, on the hand as he tried to separate the dogs. Absecon police shot and killed one of the pit bulls at the scene, and the second dog was euthanized by Animal Control due to it’s vicious demeanor.  The two pit bulls allegedly broke free from their residence and police are investigating the incident.
