On Wednesday a 30 year-old man from Williamstown was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide in an accident that occurred last November 7th on Route 47. Robert DeMarco, who police say was “impaired by narcotics”, has been charged with second degree manslaughter as a result of a collision on Route 47 near the Natali Vineyard in Cape May Court House. DeMarco’s Dodge Charger swerved into the southbound lane and struck a Ford Taurus driven by Robert Pitts, 65, of Lower Township. Pitts later died of injuries he sustained in the crash. DeMarco is being held in the Cape May County Jail on $150,000 cash bail.
