CHARGES FILED AGAINST HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER

The search is on for a man who allegedly struck a 7-year-old with a van in Pleasantville and left him seriously injured while fleeing the scene. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Omar Butcher. The alleged accident took place on April 30. Butcher has been charged with assault by auto in a school zone, and leaving the scene of an accident, along with other charges. He was allegedly driving on a suspended license. Butcher should be considered armed and dangerous.
