The Wildwood Leader reports that federal wire fraud charges were dropped against Wildwood attorney Seth Fuscellaro on Wednesday. Lawyers for Fuscellaro have been working to clear his name since his arrest last July. U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman filed the motion to dismiss in U.S. District Court in Camden, claiming that “..further prosecution of Fuscellaro is not in the interests of the United States at this time.” Fuscellaro was among 11 people charged in a $15 million wire fraud mortgage scandal, which used “straw buyers” to make illegal profits on overbuilt condominiums.
