CHANGE OF COMMAND TAKES PLACE WITH COAST GUARD CAPE MAY

Cmdr. David “Lee” Petty took over command of the Coast Guard Cutter Dependable, homeported here, from Cmdr. George A. Lesher during a change of command ceremony Monday. Petty reported from Coast Guard personnel allowance and pay accounts where he served as division chief within the Coast Guard’s headquarters office of resource management. The Dependable is a 210-foot medium-endurance Reliance-class cutter built in 1968.
