On Tuesday the CEO of Trump Entertainment Resorts announced he is resigning from the company and moving out west with his family. Robert Griffin has been CEO of Trump Entertainment since 2010 and led the company through some rough times. His company has been in bankruptcy for over a year and the Trump Plaza Casino was forced to close last September. Griffin told The Press of Atlantic City that he was “vilified” for the issue of the Trump Entertainment deed restriction that prevented Stockton University from developing the former Showboat Casino Hotel into a college campus. The controversy was one of the reasons given for the Griffin family leaving the area.
