The Atlantic City casino market continues to struggle. New figures released by the Casino Control Commission show the city’s gaming halls taking in $284 million in casino revenue during the month of October. That represents a 12.3 percent dip in gaming revenue from the same month one year ago. The Showboat was the big loser, taking in 22.7 percent less revenue than it did in October, 2009. Casinos in the city continue to be hurt by competition from neighboring states, and the economy.
