Egg Harbor Township Police have released an update on the school bus accident from last week. A bus operated by Laura Feinstein, 42 years of age of Egg Harbor Township, was proceeding south on Spruce Avenue and slowing to make a right turn onto Franklin Avenue when struck in the rear by a Hyundai Sonata. The 2010 Hyundai Sonata was operated by Christopher Vega, 38 years of age of Egg Harbor Township, who was also traveling south on Spruce Avenue. Vega failed to stop or avoid the right hand turning bus directly in front of his vehicle. Vega, and a juvenile passenger, were treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and transported to Shore Medical Center for injuries. No students on the bus were injured. Vega was issued a summons for careless driving.
