A vehicle fire began the Easter weekend at the shore. The fire occurred near milepost 36 on the Garden State Parkway at around 6:30pm. The driver was able to escape the car with no serious injuries. A lane of the Parkway was closed for a short time to allow for the investigation and removal of the vehicle.
