CAPE MAY WOULD LIKE CONTROL OF ITS OWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Cape May city officials believe that the County Prosecutor’s Office has too much control over public safety in the community. The city made a motion in court right before the holiday weekend before Judge J. Christopher Gibson to remove a monitor that was put in place to act as a liaison between city leaders and the police department. Cape May would like to have that oversight removed.
