CAPE MAY TRYING TO RESOLVE CASE INVOLVING POLICE CHIEF

Cape May’s city council met in closed session on Monday to discuss a situation involving the demotion of a police chief. Cape May is now talking with the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office regarding the appointment of a liaison to work with city officials on police matters. The case stemmed from the city’s demotion of Robert Sheehan from police chief to captain.
