The City of Cape May is creating a new Tourism Utility to manage revenue from it’s new $10 million convention hall. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Cape May City Council introduced an ordinance to set up the utility, which will be supervised by City Manager Bruce MacLeod, with an annual budget of $300,000 for operations, management and promotion. The new convention hall is expected to open on May 26th of next year. Several conventions, conferences and events have already been booked for the facility.
