Starting Tuesday, the city of Cape May will begin the process of getting bids for the construction of a new convention hall. According to an official posting on the city’s website, bid documents for the construction of the city’s new convention hall can be examined at the clerk’s office for free; bid documents can also be purchased for $25. City officials plan to hold a pre-bid meeting at the site this Friday; the final bids will be opened during a public meeting on March 8th. The city plans on building a new convention hall consisting of 20,000 square feet at the site of the old convention hall, which was demolished.
