Two re-elected officials took their oath of office New Year’s Day in Cape May. Mayor Ed Mahaney & Councilwoman Terri Swain were sworn in by Municipal Judge Louis Belasco in front of about 60 people. The two pledged to continue their four main goals of spurring economic growth, helping the environment, maintaining the infrastructure, and maintaining an affordable quality of life in the Cape May. Mahaney then gave the state of the city address and reviewed the accomplishments of the past four years. Council voted in Councilman William Murray to serve as deputy mayor.
