A budget proposal has been presented by Cape May City Manager Bruce MacLeod. The proposal calls for a zero tax increase in the 2016 budget. Some of the increase in revenues will included $21,500 in parking meter revenue based on the previous year data and adding reserve to pay bands and notes by $83,800 which will offset the increase in debt service. Mayor Ed Mahaney at the meeting said the city would work to bring a zero increase to the community.
