You won’t need a beach tag to get to the beach during Memorial Day weekend in Cape May or Avalon. Avalon was the first to waive the no beach tag needed rule, and Cape May has followed suit. Both communities will be selling seasonal tags during the holiday weekend; in Avalon, they will not be needed until July 3rd. Swimming and bathing will be prohibited in Cape May until further notice as new protocols are being put in place due to Covid-19.
