The 2011 Cape May County Tourism Conference was held Wednesday in the Freeholder’s Meeting Room to a standing room crowd. New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno was the keynote speaker, stressing her accessibility to the voters, even giving out her cell phone number. Guadagno said the state has launched a new radio ad campaign, targeting positive images of New Jersey, and titled “That’s New Jersey”. She said the state plans to keep nearly $25 million in the budget for promotion…$9 million for Tourism funding and $16 million for grants for culture, history and the arts. The Lt. Governor fielded several questions from the public, followed by remarks by Assemblyman Matt Milam, Freeholder Susan Sheppard, and a presentation by Diane Wieland, CMC Director of Tourism.
