Hurricane Irene taught Cape May County it was prepared, but an annual conference is going to update county residents on how and why. The annual Emergency Preparedness Conference will take place on Tuesday from 10 to noon. The free conference which is open to the public will take place at the County Administration Building.
Participants at this year’s conference will include State Senator Jeff Van Drew, Charles B. McKenna, Director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, Major Dennis McNulty, Commanding Officer of the Emergency Management Section of the New Jersey State Police, Lisa Webber, Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, James Eberwine, Retired Hurricane & Marine Program Manager, NOAA, Meteorologist Dan Skeldon and Frank McCall, Director of the Cape May County Office of Emergency Management.
