CAPE MAY COUNTY TO BUILD NEW JAIL

No longer will Cape May County seek to renovate its old jail. Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton says the county will spend a little extra money to build a new jail, but it will likely save money in the long term. Thornton said the decision was made to move forward because of worries that the state would mandate a fix soon because of overcrowding concerns.
