Cape May County Public Works will be working all evening to ensure the roads are as good as possible on Tuesday. There will be 12 trucks dispatched and crews will be taking shifts to salt and clear county roads during the weather incident. There is approximately 2,000 tons of salt on hand, stored at County facilities at the Cape May County airport in Erma; Cape May County Crest Haven Complex in Cape May Court House and at the Ocean View Maintenance yard on CR 550 in Ocean View. Cape May County Engineer Dale Foster is tracking the storm and coordinating efforts to ensure all county roads are salted and cleared.
