CAPE MAY COUNTY JAIL PROJECT TO GO OUT TO BID NEXT MONTH

It appears all signs point to construction start in the first half of 2015 at the Cape May County Jail. Sheriff Gary Schaffer said the new jail would go out to bid in Feb. and shovels could be in the ground by May. The building is prefab, meaning it shouldn’t take a ton of time to put together. The construction is aimed at curbing overpopulation concerns and create safer workplaces for the sheriff officers.
