CAPE MAY COUNTY EXPECTS TO BOND JAIL IMPROVEMENT MONEY IN TWO WEEKS

A $15 million project to enhance the Cape May County Jail is likely to take a big step at the next Cape May County Freeholders meeting. County Administrator Steven O’Connor told Coastal Broadcasting that he expects the Freeholders to approve a bond that will include $15 million for the work at the jail. O’Connor says the bulk of the work includes 24 more cell units that will be added over the course of 18 months, once the project breaks ground by the end of this year.
