It was a chance for Cape May County government to five back. Freeholder Kristine Gabor and the Board of Chosen Freeholders donated thirty boxes of non-perishable items to two local pantries in Cape May County during their meeting on December 11, 2012. Following Hurricane Sandy, there was an outpouring from residents and county employees looking for ways to give back to the community. In response, the County started a program called Cape May County….Helping our Neighbors. The program, coordinated by the County’s Communications Office, began with the county setting up collection containers in all county facilities for employees to contribute what they could to help nourish those in need in Cape May County.
