CAPE MAY COUNTY CHAMBER OPPOSES PAID SICK TIME BILL

Legislation that would provide paid sick time to all employees in the state is being opposed by the biggest local business group. The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce is against the bill that they say will hurt business. We spoke with Vicki Clark, who is the president of the organization, she said especially with the amount of seasonal businesses, the legislation doesn’t properly take that into account. Clark said she had worked with the bill authors to have them make provisions for seasonal businesses, but that didn’t happen.
