No additional money. That is what council decided in Cape May regarding the Convention Hall project. The three new council members all voted against the expanded project in favor of a smaller hall. It was their campaign platform heading into office and they kept their word. Mayor Ed Mahaney and Councilwoman Terri Swain voted for the measure. It would have put an additional $3.15 million into the project. Martin Kimmel, the architect, will begin working on the smaller facility.
