CAPE MAY CANCELS PHILLY POPS BECA– USE OF WILDWOOD DATE

A Philly Pops show in Wildwood has pushed Cape May to cancel its Philly Pops date this summer. Cape May voted on Tuesday to terminate its contract for Labor Day weekend after Wildwood announced it would have the Philly Pops over July 4th weekend for free. The Cape May date would have been a ticketed event and Cape May Mayor Ed Mahaney said during the council meeting on Tuesday that it would be difficult to sell tickets for an event that would be in the area for free.
