A NJ Department of Treasury building suffered extensive damage after a drunk driver crashed an SUV into the building’s front. The incident, which occurred at 40 East Broad Street just after 1 p.m. Sunday, was observed by Bridgeton Police as it happened. The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated. The building’s structural integrity was not compromised, but agencies operating in the four-story building were forced to employ alternate operating plans until repairs can be made.
