On Thursday a Bridgeton woman filed a lawsuit in federal court against a local police officer, alleging sexual coercion to avoid jail time. Shakera Brown, 22, claims that city Police Officer Braheme Days forced her to perform sexual acts while on duty, in exchange for keeping her out of jail for a shoplifting offense. Brown alleges that the sexual abuse continued after she reported the incidents to police. Officer Days is one of the policeman who was placed on administrative leave after the fatal shooting of Jerame Reid during a local traffic stop in December of 2014.
