BRIDGETON PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY VEHICLE

On Sunday afternoon a 46 year-old Bridgeton man was struck by a vehicle while crossing Washington Street between North Pearl and North Laurel Streets. Jorge Morales-Martinez was taken to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del. after the accident with serious injuries. Morales-Martinez was hit by a car driven by 88 year-old Charles Bastein of West Deptford, who remained at the scene after the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
