BRIDGETON CHURCH UNDERGOING REHAB TO HELP DRUG ADDICTS

A 200 year-old former church building is being renovated to help recovering drug addicts in Bridgeton. Pastor Russell Alston of Grace New Covenant Ministries, has helped nearly 300 addicts into detox or rehab during the past few years. He planned to create a help center for local drug addicts and the owner of the church building heard about his plans. The young woman who owns the building decided to donate it to Pastor Allen’s cause and renovations have begun. When completed, the mission will offer resources and support for drug addicts and their families.
