BREAKING NEWS: STATE TROOPER HIT BY LIGHTNING IN MIDDLE TWP.

A New Jersey State Trooper working in Middle Township was struck by lightning during Tuesday afternoon’s severe thunderstorm that suddenly popped up in Cape May County.  State Police say the trooper was on duty in a construction zone in his vehicle when a bolt of lightning struck his vehicle.  The unidentified trooper was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, but Police say he is expected to be ok.
