The peaceful protest that was scheduled to occur in Middle Township today through Wednesday has been cancelled. Middle Township officials posted on social media shortly before 9am Monday that the event has been cancelled for all three days. Mayor Tim Donohue and the event organizer were both concerned about the safety and welfare of Township residents. Township leaders and the police department continue to be on “high alert”, according to Donohue, in the event the protest continue despite the organizer’s cancellation of the event.
