BOROUGH OF AVALON RECEIVES “SUSTAINABLE JERSEY” CERTIFICATION

 The Borough of Avalon announced it has earned official certification in the “Sustainable Jersey” program. Avalon received notice this week that it has earned a bronze certification, one of only 125 communities in the entire state have been certified by the program. Sustainable Jersey recognizes environmentally friendly communities that reduce their carbon footprint while saving tax dollars at the same time. Avalon officials will formally receive its certification plaque during a luncheon that on November 13^th at the New Jersey League of Municipalities conference in Atlantic City.
