The Borgata has asked a court to make Atlantic City pay back $62 million in tax refunds, a move that could potentially force the city into bankruptcy. The city doesn’t have the money at the moment to pay back the debts that date back to over valuing the city did of the casino property in 2009 and 2010. The city has paid back a number of other casinos in similar cases. The Borgata asked the court to make the city pay up within the next 30 days.
